FRC WAVE ROBOTICS

Founded in 2008, Wave Robotics is a premiere FIRST Robotics team. FIRST Robotics combines the excitement of sports with the rigors of STEAM.

Starting in September, students from 8th to 12th grades, work together to develop STEAM skills both on the team and in the community. By January, they take what they’ve learn to build a competition ready robot from the ground up. The competition changes each year, along with the required set of tasks for the game.

Students work alongside volunteer professionals in a variety of sub teams. Those mentors share real world experiences while contributing to their skill development. It is as close to real-world business applications as a student can get. Many students go on to take internships with local businesses they mentored with.
