During the team’s first regional at Peoria, Wave was recognized for their hard work and was given the Impact award. 

The FIRST Impact award is the most prestigious award that can be earned. It celebrates teams who best emulate the values that FIRST strives to share. The team given this award shows that they can transform the culture in ways that will inspire greater levels of respect and honor for science and technology, as well as encouraging younger generations to become involved in the technology and science world. 

Wave has been focusing on the community since the very beginning. The team gives back to the community by attending and hosting community events. Wave attends the annual Farmers Market, 

 and Care Days, Herd Night, and Advocacy Day. Wave also hosts events for the community members like SavvyScouts, Grandparent University, Reading with Robots, multiple events for FLL teams, and Elementary Stem days. 

Wave is so grateful for this award and the chance to attend Champs in Houston, Texas. However, the trip is expensive and the team is self-funded. Wave is looking for donations to help fund this trip. Thank you for all your support and look forward to the future!
