On August 19, 2023 Wave ran our annual booth at our local farmers market. We had a station where kids could design their own buttons, a way to encourage creativity. Our booth also showcased the many different FIRST opportunities in our city to possibly interest new parents and students!  We also had a Lego table for youth to build their creations and display them for all to see. This encouraged critical thinking and exploration of STEM concepts. We had a lot of interest in the many different FIRST programs, especially FLL Explore and FLL Challenge. Kids were also able to interact with our Demo Robot by throwing or kicking inflatable cubes, allowing them to have a first hand experience with a large-scale robot. We look forward to interacting with the community at the farmers market next year!
