On August 20, 2022 Wave had a booth at our local farmers market.   This is a yearly activity that the team does so that we can help inspire young students and the community to get involved with STEM.  We had wave students making foam rockets with younger students as well as a robot demonstration.  Our booth also showcased the many different First opportunities in our city to possible new parents and students!  We also had a Lego table for young students to build their creations and were able to display them for all to see.  We had a lot of interest in the many different First programs, especially FLL Explore and FLL Challenge.  Kids were able to interact with our 2021 Ripple Robot by throwing balls (power cells) gently to the robot so that they could have a first hand experience with a large-scale robot. We look forward to seeing the community at the farmers market next year!
