On Feb 18, 2024, Wave attended the Sussex-Hamilton scrimmage hosted by team 537 Charger Robotics. We went to this event to practice with other teams before our first competition during week 3 at Central Illinois Regional. 

Though we were faced with some setbacks we managed to learn and improve more than ever. We had some power and motor issues, and our intake didn’t quite work how we planned, but we already have a plan to fix them.  Our CAD subteam is looking over and making slight adjustments to the intake design, and our Systems subteam is troubleshooting and solving our power issues. We had many accomplishments as well.  This is the first time our robot has had full movement abilities at a Sussex-Hamilton scrimmage before.  We had many working and successful autos that were able to score.  During matches we were able to score many times.  We also gave all the drive team candidates the opportunity to get experience in the drive team position they applied for.  

Overall, we had a great experience at this year's scrimmage.  A big thank you to team 537, Charger Robotics, for hosting this successful event every year and we look forward to our upcoming regionals, CIR and Seven Rivers!
