Wave Helps In the Community

Wave had a booth at Oshkosh West’s CARE Days and Oshkosh Into the Night

On May 17th, Wave had a booth at Oshkosh West’s CARE Days.  CARE Days is a fun carnival type event uniting 300 students together, including 140 students in the special education program.  We provided adaptive STEM activities for all, which included button design, a robot petting zoo, and LEGO building.  This was a huge success, and students created over 250 buttons!

On May 25, Wave had a booth at Oshkosh Into the Night, a circus combined with a craft fair with the goal to exhibit STEAM in the community.  Wave had stations for information about FIRST programs in Oshkosh.  We also had robot demonstrations, button making, and a LEGO building station.  FLL team 16152, Balksteen Valkens were presenting on FLL and had robot demonstrations.  Over 3,000 people showed up to the event and Wave made about 300 buttons!
